Blogging to Blog

I have refrained from frequent blogging. (Obviously. I have a total of 8 posts.)
I just do not want to become one of those "Blogging to Blog" People.
In other words: [[My everyday life is not of importance to everyone I know]]

I want this to be an outlet, however..
So i have decided… 1-3 blogs a month would work well for me.
With tons of photos of course, because I take thousands.
I want to have this to share with Abe someday, to share with my friends, family, and mommy friends. Especially those who I do not get to connect with weekly// monthly.
A "catch up"// "update".

SO.. It is already November.
November.
Wow. And snow is currently on the ground.
Barf.
Don't get me wrong, I love snow.. Just feel like it is a month too early!

Abram is almost 14 months old.
Pretty sure he just turned One year old 2 hours ago..
Oh My Heart.

ALOT of Recap// Catch up from SEPT-Now..

Abram had his first real illness.
Possibly HFM, or a Strain of Strep..
Poor buddy was miserable for over a week.
Mom and Dad were too.
Lots of snuggles and kisses were had.
Glad to be done with that one…
Mommas out there with sickie babes.. I feel ya! Sleep is coming your way soon, just remember PATIENCE! It's tough stuff, but always remember-- they are babies and RELY on us for comfort/ support/ love.
If you're feeling frustrated/ annoyed/ sleep deprived- jump in the shower, have a cup of coffee, and get your CRAP together. ;)

Sickie. Momma Snuggles.

Abe a week later. Praise Jesus!

Gerard made a last minute trip up to see us for a weekend last month. I love every second I get to spend with this guy. Can't believe he is a Junior in college. Or how amazing of a person he is // continues to become. There are no words for the love I have for you bud.
No words.
Uncle Lovin'.

My long-time BFF/ Sister visited MN last month.
We are all spoiled because we get to see her multiple times a year since her move to LA.
We love being blessed with your presence Chelsey girl.
<3
Can you taste the chaos is this pix?!? Out. Of. Control.
While Chelsey was here we had "Girl's night out"
I think I have gone out to Bar twice since I had Abe. (Which is PLENTY for me!)
We all had quite the fun evening- as our night ended with a Taxi, Tacos, and Netflix.

The month of PUMPKINS!
Abe, Ben, and I went to Sekapp's Orchard this year for our pumpkin picking.
We snapped a few photos but mainly we were chasing Abe around.
He wanted to touch/ climb/ eat every single pumpkin we saw.
Typical Toddler. (Did I just say Toddler?!)
My Lovey Babe.
Daddy and Abe. OMH
Abe: "Over it.. No more photos mom."

Speaking of Pumpkins ..
We went to The Bowman's Annual Pumpkin Party again this year.
We had a blast. And Abe is now ready for his own tractor!!

I did say there was ALOT of Recap, right?
Ben and I went to two concerts in October. We went with our good friends, Aric and Tresa. Had so much fun!! First was Pearl Jam. WOW. They were amazing live! Full House// Sold out Crowd! Definitely a highlight of this fall season!

Second concert was The Black Keys. They were awesome to see live as well!
Ben, Aric, Tresa, and I all went to the Soap Factory Haunted basement before hand.. Kind of Creepy!! But not nearly as bad as Tresa and I built it up to be.
Fun times with great friends!

Some may/ may not know this but… Since our day one, Ben has introduced me to so much amazing music. I am forever grateful honey!!

And of course- Halloween.
Little Lion Man.
The Scarecrow and Dorothy. (Serious Mode)
The Fam of OZ.
Had too much fun dressing myself and my boys up. Totally starting a family costume tradition.
I made my Ruby slippers, and part of Ben's costume as well.
Becoming a crafty house "wife"// momma.
Little Lion Man enjoyed a Reeses PB Cup all to himself.
He deserved it for keeping that Lion Mane on ALL NIGHT!

Abe J. 's First Bee Day

ABE IS ONE !

Many of you read Abe's birth story. There were laughs, emotions, and there were tears.

This year was full of firsts..
First smile (uncontrollable giggles now)..
First Tooth (now he has 8)..
First time rolling over (now he is pretty much running)..
First words .. MaMa, DaDa.. TICKLE ?!
Our lives with Abe are filled with pure Joy.
His First birthday was a blast. Many smiles and laughs.. Cuddles and dance times.
The weather was beautiful and we shared his day with a few close friends and Fam.

I woke up at 7:30am on Sunday (9.14.2014)

And when I rolled over this is what I opened my eyes to-

This was when the tears happened.. Right away in the morning.

So peaceful, so big... Growing so fast. I woke up to a ONE YEAR OLD!
I got up and did some last minute sweeping//mopping//vacuuming -- you know , the whole nine before his party.

Abe woke up around his usual time, 9:30am. I made him blueberry pancakes/ syrup/ his favorite scrambled eggs/ strawberries as well. Needless to say-- it was all gone within minutes of being on his tray. He told me it was the best birthday breakfast ever.

(Using his Fork)

Ben blew up a bunch of "Happy Birthday" balloons that we got from Target.. So we created a Balloon pit-- photos of Abe in the pit come later on in post--- A-dorable!!

Abram hung out with Daddy while I went to do last minute errands (pick up balloons from Party City, and pick up the cakes from Daube's Bakery). I took some photos of the decor when I got home--
Canvas with glitter "1" made by yours truly-- I had so much fun with these!!
Food table-- "make your own mix" dried fruit/ nut mix/ animal crackers/ gold fish/ teddys!
Fruit salad cups- strawberries/ bananas/ blueberries/ purple grapes.
Organic Tortilla Strips, fresh mango salsa, and guacamole. The best.
And Pb&J sandwiches on homemade bread (made with love by Megan-- Amelia's mommy) -- thank you Megan -- the bread was a HIT!
Fresh flowers throughout the house, and the #1 balloon attached to our Rasta Man!
Balloons from Party City-- colorful balloons were for each kiddo to take home with them !
Mommy and Daddy's gifts for Abe, the balloon pit, and our lovely fabric banner!!

Abe was a bit nervous seeing everyone in one place at one time.. He warmed up after about 10 minutes ( those of you who know him-- know he is not a shy child so it was a little out of character BUT, it was also out of the ordinary to have 8+ people in our home! ) --

Heads up to parents with a child under one--- keep the guests to a minimum. A First birthday should be intimate and special .. A huge bash for a First birthday is A. Over the top, B. Confusing/ stressful for baby, and C. Unnecessary! IMO!

Since the weather was so gorgeous (Thank you Jesus) -- we were able to head outside with the kiddos. This was a good way for Abe to warm up to everyone and get use to all his friends being in one place at one time!

We played outside for a while, ate food, drank raspberry Lemonade.. And enjoyed our company..
When everyone was ready, we went inside for gifts. I ended up opening all of them for Abe-- he was pretty focused on his first gift from Grandma. Thank you all again, so much! Abe is so very loved-- which fills our hearts!! Abe has now played with every single toy multiple times, and already wore one of his new outfits!
(Seriously-- This is the only photo we got of the 3 of us.)

After gifts we had CAKE TIME! Which was my personal fave!! I'm pretty sure it was Abram's favorite too.. (The pix show his excitement--) We had Daube's Bakery make him a chocolate personal smash cake! YUM! Before we sang, we called Grammy and PopPop on FaceTime so they could sing along and watch him SMASH his cake!!
(SMASH CAKE)
(And can't forget to inhale some frosting!)
After Abe enjoyed his cake, we all had cake too! (Daube's Carrot Cake/ and German Chocolate Cake.) Yum!!
Such a fun First Birthday, shared with some very fun people!
(Getting pix of 5 buddies)
(Just some of Abe's Artwork on display)
Ended the party with the Balloon Pit.

Happy First Birthday to my Abe!
I love you. Way Far.
